Orientation

Yesterday I began orientation. It was a bit boring until we got to tour the city and figure out where the grocery store, restaurants and shops were located. The language barrier is a bit more complicated then in Thailand. Everyone is very friendly though and most people know English. I suppose I'll pick up on a few Dutch words along the way. Today is the last day of orientation and I have to purchase my visa/resident permit so that I can stay longer than 90 days. This weekend we are planning a trip to Amsterdam to check out the market; it's supposed to be the biggest in the country. I'm also purchasing a train pass that will get me 40% off all train tickets. I'm excited to begin this semester and visit other countries!
